Why BAA?
For more than 120 years, Bakersfield Adventist Academy has been a place where kids are known by name, challenged to do their best, and surrounded by people who believe in them.
What makes a small Christian school different
Every child is known
With a 14:1 student-to-teacher ratio, our teachers know each student’s strengths, struggles, and story. Nobody gets lost in the crowd.
Faith at the center
Daily worship, Bible classes, chapel, and service projects help students build a personal relationship with Jesus, and a sense of purpose that lasts long after graduation.
K–12 on one campus
Kindergartners and seniors share one campus. Older students mentor younger ones, and families stay connected through every stage of school.
Whole-child education
Heart, mind, and hands. We care about academics, character, health, creativity, and service, not just test scores.
A family partnership
Parents are part of the team. Our teachers and front office stay in close contact so you always know how your child is doing.
A community that shows up
When our campus needed work, our churches, families, and alumni came together to make it happen. That’s the kind of community your child joins.
A community that builds together
In 2026, the United As One initiative brought churches, families, alumni, and friends together to invest in our campus. Together, we have been tackling security upgrades, roofing repairs, fire alarm improvements, and interior repairs, so every student learns in a space that is safe, dry, and ready for the next generation.
It’s a picture of who we are: when something matters, this community rolls up its sleeves.
